We encourage new people to try rowing – whatever their age or experience. Our Adult Learn to Row session takes place on Sunday mornings at 10am – noon and is run by our coach Maggie Hawkyard. Maggie takes our groups aged from 16 upwards in a range of boats, both sculling and rowing. If you are interested in joining this group please contact us via email@example.com.
Juniors learn in a dedicated Learn to Row group with a specialist coach, Andy Sloper who has many years experience teaching children to row. The course takes place on Sunday mornings at 8.30am until 10am. Usually Juniors in this course become competent rowers within a school term and are then ready to join the main Junior squad, rowing at 10am on a Saturday morning. We have the largest Junior section in the South West and so we have to run a waiting list. You can enrol your son or daughter on this from age 11 to 16 by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. Beginners are offered three free trial sessions before we ask you pay a subscription (currently £155 a year for Juniors, 2018-19). Here are the notes we give to parents of new rowers, for information.
Occasionally we also offer Taster Days for Juniors in school holidays.
