We offer varied levels of adult rowing from recreational to competition for all age groups from teens right through to veterans. Our veterans, senior men and senior women regularly compete at events all over the country. The club has also had many individual athletes training for Great Britain selection. In 2008 Nicola Spencer represented GB in the World U23 lightweight single sculls event, having trained at Totnes. On a local basis, many West of England Championships are won each year and there have been representatives rowing at Henley Royal Regatta on a regular basis. The Club’s vets are very successful and always return from the World Masters and Henley vets with medals. At the very top level the Club has produced juniors that have competed for Great Britain at both the World Juniors’ and the Coupe de Jeunesse. The most recent of these was Matt Swiss in 2015 who raced at the Rio World Junior Championships. Both Bill Lucas and Barney Stentiford went on to race at the World U23 Championships and Bill Lucas raced in the men’s 2x at London 2012.
Our veteran group has a wide range of ages and some of the most successful competitors in the country at national and world championship level; we have multiple World Masters champions who are regularly training on the Dart and they welcome other keen aspiring scullers to join them.
