Notice to all clubs.
The draw and timetable are available for both days. I have made every effort to accommodate requests, but It has been extremely difficult, particularly when individuals have doubled up, trebled up and in one or two cases quadrupled! This in my opinion is too tall an order for both regatta organisers and rowers themselves, especially when there can be up to three races (heat, rep and final) in order to win any one event. Another problem has been when different members within one crew have doubled up in a variety of other events.
This notice is not intended as a moan, but merely advice to those competing that perhaps in future they should prioritise and reduce the number of events they enter. I have also been asked to remind all clubs that there will be, as last year, a Victor Ludorum prize for the top three non-host clubs over the two days. Also, medals will be given for winners of Senior events with three or more boats, and Junior events with two or more.
We hope you have an enjoyable regatta, and good luck to all.
The regatta is run over the course of 2 days, the first day (Saturday) being the non championship events over 500m, the second day (Sunday) being the championship events run over 1000m. Please find the poster below.
Free camping is available on Longmarsh, only 70m from the club, the club will be selling burgers after the regatta on the Saturday and the bar/clubroom will be open for food & drinks until about 9pm.
If burgers don’t quite take your fancy then we have a 10% discount offer with the Waterside Bistro, the code for claiming your 10% discount will be in the advert for the Waterside Bistro in the programmes.
